So what does a Survey Analyst at Michael Baker International do?
As a part of our Geospatial Information Technology (GIT) Team, a Survey Analyst delivers quality projects to an expanding base of state, local, and private clientele.

Can you walk me through a typical day of a Survey Analyst?
•Prepare construction surveying calculations, alignments and packages for field use.
•Prepare ALTA, boundary and topographic surveys, final plats, Right-of-Way surveys and plans, legal descriptions and exhibits on surveying projects in the public/municipal and private land development sectors.
•Perform survey data processing and compile topographic information, compute and manipulate digital terrain models for topographic mapping.
•Perform surveying related research, boundary analysis and calculations for a variety of public/municipal and private land development projects.
•Assist Survey Project Managers to ensure project goals/objectives are met within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.

Could you be the Survey Analyst we are looking for?
•Minimum of Associates degree in land surveying, engineering or related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•Minimum of three (3) years of land surveying experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
•Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D including working with in-house and client CAD standards.
•Processing of field data using Trimble Business Center and StarNet a plus.
•Experience with the software for Trimble GPS, Robotic Total Station and data collection survey equipment.
•Experience with point coding and “Field to Finish” line work.
•Experience performing California Department of Transportation a plus.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
