Description:
Our central California office is looking for a project surveyor to handle field work and office work for boundary, topographic, construction surveys and subdivision mapping.

Duties:
Perform field and office support for various projects throughout central California, including research, data collection and analysis, title report review and analysis, AutoCAD drafting, preparation of legal descriptions, exhibits, ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys, topographic and utilities mapping, subdivision mapping, photogrammetric control surveys, boundaries, and construction staking for private and public works projects.

Qualifications/Skills:
• Must have a BS in Geomatics, Land Surveying or related field or minimum 4 years of equivalent experience
• Must have 2+ years of experience in land surveying and mapping
• Must have LSIT. PLS preferred
• Must be proficient with the following office programs: AutoCAD/ Civil 3D, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be proficient with the following field equipment and software: Trimble robotic total stations (S6), Trimble RTK GPS (R8) and TDS and/or Trimble data collection systems
• GPS post-processing experience using Trimble Business Center desirable
• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with clients and agency personnel
• Must be able to accurately follow directions/instructions and work cooperatively as part of a team. Must be able to quickly adapt to company CAD standards and field procedures.

Physical requirements:
• Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for average 8 hour work day.
• Ability to work in the field (outside) setting construction staking, or cutting brush or performing monument search for average 7-8 hour work day.
• Must be able to bend, crouch lift and twist to carry out field job duties lifting and using equipment and tools
• Ability to cut brush (occasionally poison oak), dig holes up to 36” deep or swing 8 lb. sledge hammer.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and instruments weighing up to 50 pounds over rugged terrain.
• Ability to drive a truck (with good driving record).
• Ability of effectively communicate in english with staff and clients

Compensation:
$30-$60/hour DOE (about 10% is prevailing wage)
