2017 Conference
I wanted to thank the conference committee and the Central Office for their efforts in putting on this year's conference. It went off without any hitches and the programs were very diverse. Several people commented on how this was one of the better conferences in a long time. Thank you, everyone, who was involved.

Re: 2017 Conference
Ian Wilson and C.L.S.A. Conference Committee 2017 did a fantastic job this year! Please, next year do not invite a senator that knows nothing about Land Surveying or Land Surveyors and makes no opportunity to thank Land Surveyors for the great public service they offer to the State of California! Caltrans does a great service to keep Land Surveying strong and makes the effort to train their employees and future Land Surveyors. Caltrans did not deserve the comments expressed by the all about me senator.

I was not there for that part of it but I agree. CALTRANS is one of the finest organizations in the country and they do an extraordinary job. I am sorry this happened. I wish I was there to offer my two cents.

Re: 2017 Conference
The Senator was terrible. That guy should have been briefed a bit more on the crowd he was coming to speak to. I left the room as his hot air was leaking.
However, the Conference was fantastic. Great job well done by CAMS staff (Kim Oreno, Sophie Lisaius, Natalie (???), Jennifer Blevins, etc.). They are pros at running an event like this.
