Surveyor Crew Chief

KPFF Consulting Engineers provides surveying services and civil & structural engineering from over 15 offices and is an equal opportunity employer. We are looking to immediately fill a full time permanent Field Party Chief position.
The Party Chief must perform the following minimum responsibilities:
efficient, accurate, and complete survey project field work
establish project horizontal and vertical control
data collection
field notes including depiction sketches
field calculations
maintain quality field procedures
equipment calibration and maintenance
construction staking
train/mentor field technicians to effectively and efficiently assist with those responsibilities described above
The candidate for Party Chief should be flexible and possess the ability to:[/list][/list]
lead a crew or work alone with appropriate field equipment
complete field projects the first time without unnecessary return trips
work effectively and maintain a good attitude with our field and office team
willingness and ability to travel for out of town projects (1 week at a time, a minimum of 4-6 weeks out of the year)
operate a crew vehicle with current and valid driver’s license
operate Trimble S7 robotic and GPS with data collection, or ability to learn quickly to become proficient
