I passed!

Post by khuerth »

I just had to share the news... I passed the National earlier this year and just received my state results. It is my honor to join the ranks of Professional Land Surveyor, now I can start learning.

....does anyone know when I will receive my info? PLS#? ....Ric are you out there?

Congrats! Don't be in such a rush to get the #. Once you have it, your boss will start insisting that you apply it to some of the maps, and you can worry about whether you should have/shouldn't have accepted that untagged iron, whether the crew looked hard enough for bearing trees at that section corner before declaring it lost, and whether you should have made one more call or visited one more office during the research.

The sleepless nights you get worrying about such things can be a real pain for the 1st year or two. But don't worry, you'll get used to it and develop a liking for Tums. (where's that sarcasm font when I need it?)

My employer won't be using my license, I just want to go by Mr PLS93?? for a few weeks! Thanks for the review classes at the conference this year, I had zero knowledge on water boundaries and your class got me at least 2 or 3 points on the exam.

Congratulations! Your name and license number should appear sometime next week in License Lookup.

That makes it not only fun, but worthwhile as well knowing that I've helped some folks pass.
