I have no idea if it will do any good, but I contacted Manta and offered to help them obtain realistic numbers. I'll let you know if I hear back from them.
Edit: A few minutes after making this post, I did receive a reply from a real person. He misunderstood, thinking I was referring to some specific surveyor that might have been listed on their site. I wrote back clarifying that I was referring to their general website showing a range and stating an average cost for surveying services.
We'll see where that goes. I do consider the fact that a real person responded as an encouraging sign.
