I loved that show growing up. I wonder if I saw that episode and it subliminally directed me to become a Land Surveyor(?)

The high cost of not putting the gun away properly.
A company I worked for was hired to just set the 4 corners for 2- 10 story buildings, the concrete contractor was to run the buildings up. When the job super saw them driving across the site with the gun hanging off the tailgate of their truck he paid our company T&M to run his buildings up.

That was a cool show.

They took their property lines seriously back in those days. I didn't have the sound up. Was the surveyor shot by a landowner after explaining that he was only staking the deed line and couldn't say where the property line was? If so, serves him right for wasting the landowner's money.
