Position Summary: Under direction, the Construction Project Manager will perform various tasks associated with land surveying and construction staking, such as construction staking setup and calculations, crew scheduling, data organization and general office support for field crews. The Survey Technician will also need to communicate with contractors and other clients as it relates to field survey requests and execution.

What you will be doing:

Pre-calculating survey data pertaining to construction staking of civil improvements and other design information in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Receive and respond by email and phone to construction staking and other field survey requests by contractors and clients.
Coordinate survey field crew schedule by balancing survey requests, survey personnel and availability on a daily basis with direction from the survey manager and staff.
Upload/Download field data to/from the field crews and organize the data.
Interpret field notes and sketches.


Desired but not Required Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform various computations including closure, precision, and calculations for surveys, plats, easements, etc.
Use AutoCAD software to assist in production of detailed topographic surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Record of Surveys, Parcel Maps, Final Maps, and other various survey related documents.
Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for parcel and easement acquisition.
Compile land title information from title reports and records research.


The Ante:

High School diploma, or equivalent, required
Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT), is preferred
Minimum of one year of relevant work experience
Survey field experience is preferred
Must be proficient with AutoCAD
Strong knowledge in reading and understanding construction plans pertaining to construction staking
