Land Surveying Guidelines Now Available Online

Post by Sunburned_Surveyor »

Hi guys!

In preparation for the webinar we are teaching this Friday on "Practical Management of Field Surveys" we put some of our company's land surveying guidelines online. They include several of our field surveying guidelines. We are making them available for free. You can download the guidelines from this web page:
https://www.redefinedhorizons.com/print ... uidelines/

I've put together a short (4-minute) video that explains the basic structure of the guidelines and their 4 main parts:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZJjG-kewuQ

Please note: These are not "standards of practice". They are more "practical instructions on how to execute work".

I'd appreciate it if you can restrain from roasting me in the comments. These guidelines aren't perfect. They have typos. They need improvement. You are welcome to send me suggestions for improvements at landon.blake@redefinedhorizons.com. We'd also like to link to other publicly available survey guidelines from other organizations on our survey guidelines web page.

If you want to help proofread the guidelines as we release them over the next 12 months, or you want to help with the development of new guidelines, please let my know (by e-mail or in the comments below).

I hope this is a resource that benefits young land surveyors.
