Showing Flood Zone "A" boundary on the map

Post by sako »

The County asked the owner of a property partially in "A" flood zone to show the location of the boundary of the Flood Zone.
Since it's "A" zone without any BFE, how can I precisely locate the boundary of the Zone? We know the location shown on FEMA map is approximate.

Think about what is not in the flood zone and why.
Look for nearby Elevation Certs and LOMAs on file.
Thing may start making sense.

Did you ask the County if just showing the approximate location from the FEMA map would suffice?

Yes, and they were actually looking for approximate location.
