25 years ago Friendship Park was a nice place to eat lunch. It was one of my favorites.

then DHS made it a forbidden zone.

Indeed It is still a great place but feels like a war zone.

I used to park up on the bluff there and watch the surf, and the Mexican surfers paddling across the border up into IB back when they were building the South Bay International Wastewater Treatment Plant, late 1990s... I worked on the design and construction of the SBIWTP ............ In winter 1997 the stuff that came down those arroyos was nasty....
