A map came in that labeled a tree as "DECADENT 50 INCH OAK TREE"
I thought it was a typo. I asked a biologist friend (herpetologist specialist) if that was a term he knew. It wasn't.
The surveyor told me that the word had specific meaning in forestry and that he was distinguishing between a health ok near by and the DECADENT oak called out as the property corner (old deed).
Very cool! And thank you to the submitting surveyor for educating me!
