Is this unlicensed practice?
Unlicensed sole proprietor placing their company name on a subdivision map, and having another licensed person (contracted surveyor) signing the map?

Not quite sure of the specifics in your example, but this is covered under PLS Act §8729

Re: Is this unlicensed practice?
Thanks, I was digging through that this weekend more.
I don't have the full story yet, and I am thinking about several occurrences by several people over the course of a year and a half.
Too many 'surveyors is form one company or retired or semi retired and non licensed person from another company is answering the check-letter and no surveyor of record in sight' occurrences for my comfort.
Higherup people are on vacation this week to ask how far these things need to be investigated.
Also, since I got on the JPPLC committee few months ago, I am trying to get the hang of my responsibilities there (in addition to reading legislation).
So my question is a mixed bag...
