Survey radios
It's been a long time since I needed radios but we've been working in non-cell phone areas and need some radios with some reach. Can you guys recommend a good pair of radios?

Re: Survey radios
Hi Eric.
I bought two headsets from Eartec Co. out of Rhode Island. I bought the Ultra Lite pair. They have rechargeable lithium batteries that last 6-8 hours. The range is a 1/4 mile with line of sight. Generally that works for me but I don't know what kind of range you're looking for. I like the lightweightness of them and also the fact that you don't have to push to talk. They were $400 + tax last year. They have other models which may have longer ranges. Generally I've been happy with them. One drawback of this set is the headset piece may not have have the best quality plastic because one of mine snapped when removing it from my head.
