Tentative map

Post by Johictor2 »

By what process if any can a City exempt the requirement for a tentative map prior to submitting a Final Map?

Exemption of a TM for a Final Map is very narrow. The City of Sacramento has a TM waiver for a single lot condo on less than 5 acres.

17.828.020 Tentative map required.
A. Except as provided in subsection B, for every subdivision, the subdivider shall file with the city a tentative map prepared in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.

B. Condominium projects as defined in California Civil Code section 783 for which a tentative map and final map are not otherwise required are exempt from the tentative map requirement, provided that the land before division contains less than five acres, each parcel created by the division abuts upon a maintained public street or highway, and no dedications or improvements are required. (Ord. 2017-0009 § 22)

Jimmy Byrum:

Are the tags in the avatar aluminum? Steel? Is this an option from the usual vendors? I have only had brass in that tag size.

Also, I like seeing a quote from Paul Cuomo. I occasionally wonder if folks are remembered professionally after they are gone. My contention has been folks do not remember. Paul has been gone 15 years this month. Apparently, some folks remember.

Paul Cuomo, Curt Brown, Roy Minnick, Bud Uzes, Larry Paxton...

All guys who mentored me early in my career.

Curt has been gone for more than 30 years now. Roy passed away almost 20 years ago.

I hope more people remember.

I want people to remember me for looking pretty good for a 120 year old.

Hello DWoolley, I really like your podcast on Youtube. I believe the tags are aluminum. I will verify the material. I ordered the tags from CSDS in Sacramento. I agree we must remember the ones who blazed the trail for us. I had the pleasure of meeting Paul at one of his seminars. Roy Minnick was another great, I saw him just before he passed. He gave a presentation at the Northern Counties Chapter of CLSA. I highly recommend "The Ten Minute Land Surveyor" Orange County Chapter CLSA on Youtube. I love the Standards of Proof episode 27.

Thank you for the shoutout on the videos. Look for new "Ten Minute Land Surveyor" videos soon. I have been back in the studio recently.

I have Paul Cuomo's original license, together with a photo, on the wall in our front office, PLS 4136 issued in 1973. Paul's widow, Peggy, passed away in April of this year.
