Back to work

Post by pls5528 »

After nearly three years of retirement, I was offered, and have accepted a position teaching plane surveying at Umpqua Community College in Oregon. Although I have never formally taught before, I have mentored and taught many surveyors (and others) in my career. I am honored to be a part of their respective program. There are only four colleges in the state of Oregon which offer surveying, and as such, it is a much needed program. I am glad to have the opportunity to help the new generation of surveyors and proud to be part of the faculty.

Please reach out to Michael Pulley from the Humboldt Chapter. He is the Oregon education liaison. He is a great resource and may be able to provide assistance, if needed.

Thanks Dave, I will do that. If I was still in Orange County I would have looked at doing this at my alma mater at Santa Ana College. That was a great two year program of which I received one of my two year degrees in Land Surveying.
