BPELSG Certificate of Appreciation

Post by Jim Frame »

I'd never heard of such a thing, until one showed up in the mail a couple of days ago recognizing 40 years of licensure. Is issuing these a long-standing practice, or something new? Will I get another one if I hang on to my ticket for another 10 years? IMWTK.

Board started issuing these annually about 10-12 years ago. Recognize PE licenses at 50 years, Surveyors at 40 years, and Geologists/Geophysicists at 35 years.

If the Board only started issuing the certificates 12 years ago, you might already have squeaked past the 40-year mark. Maybe they only went forward at that point, and didn't consider awarding certificates to older licenses.

In any case, you're appreciated, whether they issued a certificate or not!

I also received one this year and got it hanging on my wall. I appreciate it from the Board very much. Thank you, sincerely!
