I need a new plotter
HP T210 is $700 - 24" Wide. Does anyone know if it can print on mylar?
Has anyone had kickback from Recorders concerning the ink we use? Smearing etc?
Any recommendations for plotters? We just use it minimally for printing paper copies of record maps - we are highly digital now. And the only other need is printing on mylar for recorded maps.

Re: Plotters
We have an HP DesignJet T120. It plots great mylars on "archivable mylar". There is no smear! I think if your mylars are smearing you are using the wrong mylar.

Re: Plotters
Ken,
Contact Peter at Plotter Pros in San Jose.
He has been my plotter go to guy for years and has a variety of options.

I'm using a HP Design Jet T520 (36" roll), but don't plot my own mylar so I can not answer that part.
If things are smearing, it's the ink used, and as a standard for submitting to Alameda Co., I'm spaying clear acrylic on all mylars to be safe.
