Mariposa Fire

Hey RAM,

Let us know if we need to help you guys. From what I recall, it looks like you are safe...for now. You can use the RV if you need to.

Everyone thanks for the concern and emails. I Just got back to the office. All is good at my house, I am on the oppsite side of town. It has been a wild week. I have seen some things I have never seen in 25 years of fire. The Town is past the threat stage, Sat nite anything could have happened. At the monument the fire is moving NE in remote vertical canyon country. Marc, that project you did at the Camp, now has NO brush. This will be good survey country for a couple of years. Bad news is 25+/- homes were destroyed, good news is No-one was injuryed other than minor cuts and sprains. It is not over yet and it is only the beginning of the traditional fire season.

Russ.

Good to hear from you. Denise was worried. Good luck finding all those "wood posts in dirt mounds" now.

Once again, T & I cannot express how "warm and fuzzy" we got knowing the support we had aviable to us from the circle of friends from across the state.

For now all is good, except I had to cancel my fishing trip to the east side.

Well, when you go, chances are that you won't get your cast caught up in a nearby tree!

Glad to hear all is well for you Russ.

Natasha and I were in the King's Canyon/Sequoia area this weekend and I was thinking of you.
