Still Waiting

Post by JeffroH »

Is anybody else out there still waiting for their results letter, or am I the only one left in the state who has no idea how I performed on the exams?

I've been actively watching the Board's "License Lookup" site since the July Board Meeting. Unfortunately for me, my name didn't appear as one of the new PLS's, but I'm still holding out hope that I passed at least the National (or even better if I passed the State). It's been almost two weeks of pure torture waiting for my letter to arrive, wondering where I stand and how to prepare for either this October or next April.

Take Home Exam

Post by Steve Martin »

Have you sent in your take home exam?
It happens fairly frequently that after the stress of the exam, people forget to follow up and send in the take home exam. I do not know if that is the case with your results.

I actually took care of that when I sent in my application (Take-Home = Passed). I even called the Board on Friday asking for a duplicate letter to be sent, but no luck there either. Just no news at all for some unexplainable reason.

Did yo verify your mailing address with the Board?

From Friday until Tuesday for your duplicate letter is a pretty short time span to warrant worrying about. If you requested the duplicate on Friday, it's quite likely that it didn't get into the mail until Monday.

I realize that it's a difficult thing to be patient about, but give it until the end of the week before you let yourself get worked up at all.

I verified my address with the Board when I called them on Friday. It's quite possible that the letter could be in my mailbox within a day or two, but I've been going quite insane watching everybody get their results while I can do nothing but sit back and watch (and wait, and wait, and wait). Like Evan said... "it's a difficult thing to be patient about".

I haven't received the letter yet either, but I am on the license lookup. An engineer in our office received a letter indicating that he passed and was licensed, but he's not on the online list yet. Go figure.
