State Plane Coordinate Cards for HP 48gx

Post by VANCE »

Does anyone have (willing to part with)or know where to get a State Plane Card for the HP 48gx? I've looked all over, even called Elgin, Knowles & Senne, Inc. and SMI to see if they still had anything left, with no luck.

On another note in lieu of finding one of these cards, I was thinking about having a program written for the 48gx that does California State Plane Coordinates, ie.., conversions, inverses, combined scale factors, ect.., Just curious to see if there would be any interest in something like this.

Thanks

Vance,

I used to have a program on my HP that I got put onto my 48 for state plane coordinates, but lost it when my calcs memory was lost for some reason.

The guy who gave it to me was a co-worker of mine at a previous firm and I don't know if he was the source of the program or not. There is one out there.

There is a good one out there already. I think it handled both CCS27 and 83 values. Some of the surveyors at Caltrans had the program on their 48's, but I don't know where it originated from. I had it on my HP until the above described memory failure occured to me as well.
