Can't beat it for the $ (i.e. free)
This is a great tool for running map checks and checking traverse closures. You can set preferences to use the bearing directly off the map (no need to input angle of rotation). You may need to switch a NW for SE depending on the direction you are going. Include a point number and the distance for each course.
Output provides area, distance traversed, Coordinate Misclosure in both N x E and B&D. Also provides relative precision (i.e. 1:10,000) and provides a drawing of the geometric shape to give you a quick cross check of the polygon shape you were intending to traverse.
Just had it installed on all our computers in the map check section. See sample output file attachment.
