April 2010 EIT exam

DCA has approved or found the funding to hold the EIT Exam in April. Thanks to the BPELS members for protecting the professions under their charge.

April 2010 California EIT (NCEES FE) exam cancelled today by Board for PE &
LS due to budgetary issues. LSIT (NCEES FS) exam narowly escaped the axe.
Close call for the PLS also...

The Board recommended postponement of the April 2010 Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) exam at the January 27, 2010 meeting, but the decision has not yet been implemented and to watch the website for more info.

I'm surprised they would pull the ax on the April exam. Canceling the October exam I could see, since the PLS Exam isn't given in October, but in April.

So if they hold the October exam, then they still have to rent building space for the EIT.

To save money, it would only make sense to hold all exams once a year, but then that makes too much sense. (rolling eyes)

DCA has approved or found the funding to hold the EIT Exam in April. Thanks to the Board for doing the best they could in a bad situation, and forcing DCA to protect the professions, and the livliehood of many EIT candidates.

Cutting non essential services, like parks and other public use facilities. Heaven forbid they ALL take a cut in pay.

Maybe they can divert some of the billions allocated for the high speed choo-choo that will never get built.
