Oregon Exam - State Portion

Post by curtcrock »

Has anyone recently taken the state specific portion of the Oregon surveying exam? I am taking it this year and would appreciate past participant's thoughts on it. I have the general info from the state board so I am looking for overall impressions and anything that may catch a examinee off guard.
Thanks.

I passed it in 95. My understanding is that they have considerably changed the format since then. I would expect that you need to be familiar with the ORS and OAR chapters pertaining to surveying and that the exam would be largely focused on that familiarity.

The exam is very similar to California's. I took and passes the exam at the beginning of this year. You will need to know their laws in depth just like you needed to know California's.

The description question on CA's LS exam is tricky? Really?

I don't think so.
