NGS Webinar on SPC, 12/8

Post by Marti Ikehara »

I bring to your attention a new webinar that NGS is offering on State Plane Coordinates. On Wed, 12/8, from 10-1 West Coast time, Dave Doyle is teaching a webinar, for which you must register.

These NGS web seminars are a great way for us to keep up to date.
Not only are they presented by some of the most knowledgeable people in the profession, but they also count as continuing education credits for those of us licensed in states where those credits are required.
AND ITS ALL FREE!!!!!
Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the kudos, Tom.
Yes, our seminars qualify for CE credits. For this last one, there is a link on the info page that leads to a quiz of 15 questions.

The presentation should be available in a week or two. The PPT prsentation is available now at: http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/corbin/class_de ... /SPC.shtml

As always, it was a pleasure to hear Dave Doyle speaking on a subject he is so passionate about (and...yes...I ended the sentence with a preposition).

Hello,

You are receiving this email because you attended or expressed interest in this week's State Plane Coordinates webinar, presented by Dave Doyle of the National Geodetic Survey.

To access the powerpoint presentation or to find a link to the quiz, you can go here: http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/corbin/class_de ... /SPC.shtml. In addition, a recording of the entire presentation should be posted to this page by the end of today.
If you took and passed the quiz, you will receive a certificate today or by early next week at the latest. We had a higher than expected number take the quiz, so it will take a bit of time to create those certificates.
Here is a link to a quick survey to collect your feedback on the webinar. If you have time to take it, it would be much appreciated.
Thank you again for your attendance, and please feel free to email me or Dave Doyle (Dave.Doyle@noaa.gov) with any follow-up questions or comments.

I haven't heard the audio, but went through the PowerPoint. Excellent job to Mr. Doyle and NGS for the slideshow. That was a 12 week Geodesy class rolled up into 15 minutes of clicking!

I'll have to download the webinar to hear his comments on NAD83 vs. ITRF00, which happened to be the premier topic of my day today.
