James “Normanâ€￾ Payne – Rest in Peace

It is with great sadness that the Mount Diablo Surveyors Historical Society (MDSHS) and the Payne family announce the passing of James “Normanâ€￾ Payne, PLS 4388 on March 12, 2012. Norman was 67 at the time of his death.

There was a Celebration of Life and Passing for Norman attended by family and a small group of close friends on July 7, 2012.

Norman was a founding member of MDSHS and its first Chairman and was also a Life Member of the Society.

I'm sorry to hear this news. I knew him from my days with the CLSA Santa Clara/San Mateo Chapter. He was chapter president there for a while. He was always professional, courteous and kind.
