CCVGPG Fall 2012 Meeting on Friday

KSN is hosting the CCVGPG Fall 2012 Meeting on Friday. CCVGPG is a GIS user group for Central California that I'm trying to get off the ground.

You are all invited to attend the meeting. It will be held at the KSN office in Stockton, at 711 North Pershing Avenue, from 11AM to 1PM.

Scott Gregory, the California GIO will be our guest speaker. He will talk about setting up a State GIS data portal with open source software. I'll follow with a talk about using OpenJUMP, an open source desktop GIS, to manage sanitary sewer networks for KSN clients.

The meeting will conclude with some news from the CCVGPG PLSS and Survey Control Working Groups, which surveyors should find interesting.
