Diversified Project Services International Inc. (DPSI) is a leader in project engineering, geomatics (surveying), planning, permitting, inspection, energy management and construction management. We serve clients in the petroleum, chemical and power industries as well as commercial and residential development, energy, public agencies, schools and agriculture.
DPSI is actively seeking a full-time, entry level SURVEY TECHNICIAN position for our Bakersfield office. This position must possess over 0-2 years’ experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Responsibilities include:
• Assume the role of a survey chainman when operating in the field
• Set up traffic safety and control devices at the work site, under the precise direction of the party chief
• Direct traffic as needed
• Learn to assist with analyzing field measurements
• Learn to read and understand detailed drawings, charts and plans
• Assist Party Chief in field operations, including setup of field equipment
