California Surveying & Drafting Supply, and Authorized Trimble GPS Dealer and ESRI Business Partner, is currently seeking applicants for a Trimble Certified Trainer and Support Specialist to work from our Sacramento location.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a training and technical support position. The qualified applicant will possess the right combination of technical training skills with knowledge, expertise and experience within the Mapping, GIS & Land Surveying professions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preparing training material & class logistics (onsite or online)
• Marketing training services
• Technical support (over telephone and PC)
• Consulting for and with the Trimble Mapping, GIS & Surveying line of hardware and software, as well as various associated hardware and software
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Certification:
• Preferably at least an Associate's Degree or Surveying/Technical Certificate. LS or LSIT also highly desired. Trimble Certified instructor, a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
• 1-3 years of field and office surveying experience preferred but will consider all applicants.
• A thorough knowledge of GPS & Conventional Surveying and at least a base knowledge of GIS required.
• Knowledge of Windows-based platforms, mobile applications and general IT/Networking a plus
Subject knowledge and an outgoing personality will be more heavily weighted.
Compensation:
Compensation will be commensurate on experience and education. This is a mid-level position but all applicants will be considered.
