Whoa!!!!! Big difference. I didn't know where to go for the...you know...everyday discussions that didn't fit into the categories. Then I thought to myself...Self, maybe if you login you can see a General Discussion category! Worked just fine.
Thanks to you for setting this up.

So far, so good. Will take some getting used to, but all for the better.

Re: Welcome & Please Bear With Us...
It appears there are already some "intruders" posting here, apparently from eastern Europe or Russia? Some very odd posts that clearly don't belong here. I guess I'll wait and check back in a while to see what happens, but I really don't want to read threads about steeping tea bags, leather projects, or written entirely in a foreign language. Looks as though the forum has been completely invaded.

The new look is great. One problem, when I log in, I lose access to all except the "General forum.

If you click on the Board Index near the top left, you should be able to see all of the categories. I see all of the spam posts are now gone. That didn't take long!!
Thank you.

Re: Welcome & Please Bear With Us...
I made a new post under Professional Development that has a link. When I click on the message the color of the background is nearly the same color as the link text and you can hardly see the link. Can either the background color of the posts or the hyperlink text color be changed?

Re: Welcome & Please Bear With Us...
Is Mary Kay single? Maybe she is looking to become a land surveyor? Maybe she is . . . Oh heck, back to our regularly scheduled program.
Give it time and we shall find out as the bugs are worked out of the new site. Thanks for the efforts to all behind the scene!!!

Thanks. Now please enable signatures.
"Display signatures:" is set to "Yes" but I don't see them, not even my own.

Re: Welcome & Please Bear With Us...
Two things:
1. The color format is atrocious. I can only read 1/2 of the posts at normal reading distance. The dark background on the other 1/2 precludes doing the same on them.
2. Eliminate the "Bubble" that pops up and has to be closed when I use the "Mark this forum read".

Mike, we are doing great. I would assume the old admin was Dorothy and or her staff. I have no idea who the new admins would be, do you?
I did start getting email updates right after the big software change, but not anymore.
Do you get email notices?
Peter
