Project Land Surveyor (San Jose north)

HMH specializes in a multidisciplinary team approach with clients, other professional consultants and internally for many phases of a project. HMH is goal orientated, growth driven and is focused on staying atop Bay Area Land Surveying firms. We are seeking a qualified person for the following position:
PROJECT LAND SURVEYOR
REQUIREMENTS:
• State of California registration as a Land Surveyor.
• A minimum of six years of professional experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and other business application software programs.
• Advanced knowledge of Land Surveying and Project Management.
• Excellent time management skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
DUTIES:
• Performs surveying tasks on difficult projects, supervises the preparation of subdivision maps, resolves boundaries and prepares cost estimates through the use of AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MS Word, MS Excel and other software.
• Maintains and coordinates quality control at a project level for all tasks related to project delivery.
• Regularly performs project management and control duties. Tasks may include direct involvement with development or maintenance of contract scope, budget, and schedule. May manage scope and budget for specific tasks on complex projects and be responsible for billing.
• Regularly serves as "point-of-contact" for Client and represents the company.
• Supports company marketing and promotional activities.
• Responsible for projects of moderate to average complexity, supervising less experienced surveyors and/or technicians on multiple specific tasks.
• After appropriate reviews, sign maps and documents as Professional Land Surveyor in Responsible Charge of projects or portions of projects.
