SURVEYOR III & SURVEY PARTY CHIEFS - County of Orange (Public Works)

The County of Orange, Public Works has an immediate need for surveyors (Surveyor III & Survey Party Chief) within the field and office service areas of OC Survey.

Successful candidates will have the knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Principles of land surveying and mapping, boundary analysis, right of way mapping and standard survey practices (field and/or office).
• Office and/or field survey analysis using the principles of algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
• Reading and interpreting plans, maps, legal descriptions, survey field data and records.
• Use of field surveying instruments, precision leveling rods in data collection for topographic surveys
• Use and application of Geographic Information Systems or GIS software (required for some positions).
• Use and application of Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD).
• Possession of Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) or Engineering in Training (EIT) certification issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologist is required for these positions.
