"Chester" the robotic total station

Last year I purchased a used robotic total station. After much review, assistance from old users and a professional technician, I felt comfortable using the"robot" on a hilly oak tree laden job.
Assisting me was my wife who came along to take pictures, help measure etc.

I set up the gun on a control point previously verified by GPS. checked the first backsite (good)
Immediately went to another backsite to shoot as a check. I hit the "find" button. Old Robot began to spin looking up and down then suddenly locked onto my wife. At first she laughed, but then old "Chester" gave her the up and down look . . . she moved away and he followed her locking on and looking her up and down. she yelled "HEY"! then put her hands on opposite shoulders and said "that instrument is a pervert" !!! I continued pressing the "find me" button to no use. I had her walk towards me as I held the target rod. Finally old "Chester" seemed to acknowledge the target then shook his head "no" but I pressed the "find" button. almost reluctantly, He took the shot.
After a little scolding, old "Chester" behaved fairly well and we were able to complete the job.

What a day (cost me a very nice lunch to say the least)
