Technical Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, GIS Sciences, or Civil Engineering and five (5) or more years working with business partners, delivering services to internal and external customers, and supervising professional and technical staff OR an Associates degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, GIS Sciences, or Civil Engineering and seven (7) or more years working with business partners, delivering services to internal and external customers, and supervising professional and technical staff. In addition to the competencies listed in the job specification, the ideal candidate will possess the following job-related technical knowledge:
- Fundamental understanding of the Professional Land Surveyor's Act
- Fundamental understanding of managing and mentoring technical and professional staff
- Fundamental understanding of field surveying and applying advanced technology
- Fundamental understanding of survey project management
- Fundamental understanding of Boundary analysis and topographic mapping
- Understanding of LiDAR; GIS; and Hydrographic Surveying
- Knowledge of Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D
