I wonder if the state is telling them to get their docks out of the lake.

I hope the state loses this one in its entirety.

Their web site explains it. The state is attempting to take their property.

The website is a one-sided version of the story and I couldn't find any details as to what property they are losing other than what was already inundated by lake water by the time most of them probably bought their houses. That's why I'm wondering whether it has something to do with the state possibly telling them that they can't have their docks in the lake.

The docks are currently public although some I believe were original built by home owners and public use has always been a sore spot with lake front owners. If the Plaintiff wins, it will certainly lead to restrictions to lake access, usage and hostility from the natives.
Personally I hope they lose the fight to "save our (their) shores".
