mycoskie+mcInnis+associates (mma) is looking for a skilled and determined Surveyor to help us grow our firm’s diverse portfolio. mma is a growing civil engineering, landscape architecture, surveying and planning firm located in the heart of the DFW area. The surveyor we are looking for needs to be ready to take on land development projects, ranging from intimate parks to large-scale, comprehensive and sustainable, master-planned communities as well as gas well pad sites and unit boundaries.

The primary focus of this position is to successfully survey land development and energy projects. Candidates must be a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS), with a minimum of five (5) years of surveying experience. Individuals should be proficient in the latest versions AutoCAD and other word processing software, have the ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Prepare boundary and topographical surveys
• Prepare parcel maps, survey mapping, deed sketches, control and construction staking, metes and bounds descriptions and other general survey support for engineering design projects
• Prepare well plats
• Assist in the coordination and management of survey field crews and the processing of pertinent field data, including uploading / downloading / manipulation of raw files.
• Set and monitor budgets
• Manage surveying staff time against a budget
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson
• Communicate with clients during the development process
• Continue education through project experience, educations seminars, etc.
Requirements:

• RPLS License

• Proficient in latest versions of AutoCAD, Excel and word processing software.

• Knowledge and application of surveying theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals

• Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.

• Effective decision making skills.

• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate surveying information clearly and concisely.

• Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)

• Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
