Job Title: Principal Land Surveyor
Location: Calabasas, California
Job Description:
Diamond West is looking for a qualified and highly motivated principal land surveyor to lead our Survey Division. This individual will manage the field and office operations within the Survey Division including the production of boundary, right-of-way, control, topographic and design surveys. The position requires the following abilities:
• Conduct research in the area of surveying.
• Perform calculations and field surveying on control, boundary, site, topographic, ALTA, design and construction survey projects.
• Conventional GPS and LIDAR data post-processing.
• Perform field surveys and construction staking services.
• Prepare maps and exhibits of record, records of survey, final maps, lot-line adjustments encumbrance maps, and legal descriptions in accordance with the State of California.
• Training and supervisory techniques
• Strong Project management and organization
• Oral and written communication skills
Minimum Requirements:
• 7 years of land surveying work experience.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of land surveying and mapping.
• Computer proficiency with AutoCAD, LDD, Civil 3D, and survey software, maintaining awareness of the latest technologies in surveying engineering.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Surveying, Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
