JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an office surveyor position and will be directly supervised by a principal or senior land surveyor. This position assists in the execution of the work for our clients involved in the performance of precise control surveys, preliminary and design surveys, construction, LiDAR mapping, and boundary surveys. Successful candidates will be responsible to perform duties such as research, boundary resolution, post-processing GPS static surveys, site-calibrations for RTK surveys, point cloud manipulation, adjustment of field data, preparation of descriptions and exhibits, appraisal mapping, topographic mapping, records of surveys, parcel and final mapping. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting project surveyors and professional land surveyors in all the above tasks and will be given additional training as required for both personal growth and project needs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Valid California Driver’s License
Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) Certificate or ability to obtain within six (6) months
- Civil 3D, MicroStation, Trimble, Leica and/or Reigl software proficiency
Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word
Fundamental surveying principles, methods, equipment, materials and safety procedures
Surveying computations, including principles of trigonometry and geometry
Familiar with state plane coordinate systems
Knowledgeable in construction plans pertaining to construction staking
Ability to assist with preparing concise, accurate technical survey reports and presentations
Provide responsive, high quality, courteous service to clients, coworkers, representatives of outside agencies, consultants, contractors, and members of the public
