rough and ready

I have a friend of my son who lives in Rough and Ready, Nevada County. he is trying to remodel or rebuild his house which supposedly is in the middle of three parcels of land according to the county. and evidently it is illegal to have his house where it is located for some reason. like the building straddles the property line.

he also wants to adjust one of his exterior lines with his neighbor so that he can meet the setback requirements of another structure on the property.

The county is not much help to him as to what he can do or not do. everything seems to be cut in stone and he can't move the stone or no one will provide him another chisle. and he is not having any luck with land surveyors returning his calls.

Anyway this might be worth something to somebody who lives in that neck of the woods. the address is 10398 rough and ready road, rough and ready California.
