This newly published (precedent setting) appellate case leaves questions in my mind, such as Williamson Act compliance, etc etc for the "engineer" who is hired to effectuate this order.

I also find the dissenting opinion worth reading. It ends with: "Ordering private land owners to sell their property against their will to a trespasser is a profound power. If it is to be used at all, it must be used sparingly. The facts of this case do not justify it. I respectfully dissent."

Lastly, it is also interesting that cases such as these, often end with the judgement, that "each party to bear its own costs". Good example for discussion with neighbors at war when stepping in as a boundary expert, or better yet, while also wearing a mediator's hat.
