If tentative map expires because the agency can not process final maps fast enough, what kind of a recourse does the land developer have?
I am a bit unclear on interpretations of the SMA when a tentative map is approaching the 10 year limit, and how it may relate to 66452.6 (e) (6 year extension)

If the map is in an acceptable form for recording and the conditions of approval have been met, the SMA is clear on the fact that the expiration period for the tentative map has stopped.
