Technical Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, GIS Sciences, or Civil Engineering and five (5) or more years working with business partners, delivering services to internal and external customers, and supervising professional and technical staff OR an Associate's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, GIS Sciences, or Civil Engineering and seven (7) or more years working with business partners, delivering services to internal and external customers, and supervising professional and technical staff. In addition to the competencies listed in the job specification, the ideal candidate will possess the following job-related technical knowledge:
- Fundamental knowledge of the Subdivision Map Act and Professional Land Surveyor's Act
- Fundamental understanding of managing and mentoring technical and professional staff
- Fundamental knowledge of Right-of-Way best practices
- Fundamental understanding of survey project management
- Fundamental understanding of Boundary analysis and topographic mapping
- Knowledge of GIS, advanced AutoCAD applications, sharepoint integrations, Civil 3D, and ESRI integration
