Benefits of continuity of the same Surveyor from start to finish
Good morning! Does anyone have something in writing about the benefits of continuity of using the same Surveyor from start to finish? Starting with initial control and topo for design through construction staking.

No specifically, but sometimes you are handed a CAD topo file from the design engineer, only to find that control points have been removed from the file, or it was converted from AutoCAD to Microstation using the wrong foot definition.
I finally got the engineers to send the CAD files over before they went to town on them, so we could see if there was enough information to be able to stake the project. Often this involved calling the preliminary surveyor to get control information.

Different approaches all have their pluses and minuses.
